Refund, Cancellation & Fare Rules
Discover Business Class LLC
Last Updated: June 27, 2026
This page explains how pricing, changes, cancellations, and refunds work when you book business or first class airfare through Discover Business Class LLC. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions. By completing a purchase with us, you confirm that the fare rules applicable to your specific ticket — disclosed to you before payment — were explained to your satisfaction.
1. Two Separate Sets of Rules Apply to Every Booking
Every ticket you book through Discover Business Class is governed by two distinct sets of terms:
- The airline’s fare rules — set by the airline operating your flight, not by us. These determine whether your specific ticket is refundable, what change fees apply, what happens if the airline cancels or reschedules your flight, and your baggage allowance.
- Our service fee policy — covers any fee Discover Business Class charges for the work involved in finding, booking, changing, or cancelling your reservation. This is separate from, and in addition to, anything the airline charges.
Before you pay, your agent will tell you both: the airline’s fare rules for your specific ticket, and any service fee we charge. Please ask questions before you confirm payment — once a ticket is issued, the rules for that fare apply.
2. Why Premium Fares Are Often Non-Refundable
Many of the lowest available business and first class fares are negotiated, restricted fare classes. Airlines and fare providers offer these lower prices specifically in exchange for restrictions — most commonly:
- No refund if you cancel
- A change fee plus any fare difference if you need to change dates
- Date and routing restrictions
- Advance-purchase or minimum/maximum stay requirements
Fully refundable, unrestricted business and first class fares do exist, but they typically cost significantly more. If refundability matters more to you than price, tell your agent — they can quote a refundable fare alongside a discounted one so you can compare and decide.
3. What We Disclose Before You Pay
For every fare we quote you, your agent will tell you, in plain language, before you authorize payment:
- Whether the fare is refundable, partially refundable, or non-refundable
- The change fee (if any) and how fare differences are handled if you change your itinerary
- What happens if you need to cancel — including whether airline credit, rather than a cash refund, is the available outcome
- Checked baggage allowance
- Any deadline by which a decision (such as accepting or declining a schedule change) must be made
If you are ever unsure what you agreed to, contact us and we will confirm the fare rules tied to your specific booking confirmation.
4. Requesting a Change
To request a change to an existing booking:
- Contact your agent directly by phone or email as soon as possible — fare availability and pricing change over time, and earlier requests generally have more options.
- Your agent will check what the airline allows for your specific fare and quote you the applicable change fee, any fare difference, and our service fee (if any).
- We will not process any change to your booking without your explicit authorization to proceed at the quoted cost.
5. Requesting a Cancellation
To request a cancellation:
- Contact your agent by phone or email.
- Your agent will confirm whether your fare permits a refund, a partial refund, or only future travel credit with the airline, and what (if any) cancellation-related fee applies.
- If a refund is due, refunds are returned to the original form of payment through our payment processor. Airline-issued refunds can take several weeks to process, depending on the airline’s own refund timeline — this is outside our control once the request is submitted to the airline.
Our service fee for arranging your booking is generally non-refundable once that service has been performed, even if the underlying airline ticket is refundable, except where required otherwise by law.
6. When the Airline Changes, Delays, or Cancels Your Flight
If your airline reschedules, delays, or cancels a flight you’ve booked through us:
- We will help you understand the airline’s rebooking and compensation policy and assist in communicating with the airline.
- Your rights in this situation — rebooking, refund, or compensation — are determined by the operating airline’s own policy and applicable law (including, for international itineraries, any applicable passenger rights regulation), not by Discover Business Class.
- If the airline offers you a choice (for example, a different routing or a refund), we will relay that choice to you and help you respond within any deadline the airline sets.
We are not liable for losses caused by an airline’s own schedule changes, delays, cancellations, or service failures, but we will make reasonable efforts to assist you in resolving the situation.
7. Travel Credits
If a cancellation results in airline credit rather than a cash refund, that credit is issued and held by the airline (or by our Travel Partner, depending on the airline’s process), subject to the airline’s own expiration date and reuse conditions. We will let you know how to access and apply that credit toward a future booking, but the credit itself is governed by the issuing airline’s policy.
8. Disputed Charges
If you believe a charge on your account is incorrect, please contact us first — most issues can be resolved directly and faster than through a card dispute. If a chargeback is filed for a ticket that was issued in accordance with fare rules disclosed to you at the time of purchase, we reserve the right to contest that chargeback with supporting records, including call recordings, written quotes, and confirmation of the fare rules provided before payment.
9. Questions About a Specific Booking
The fare rules described generally on this page are illustrative. The fare rules that actually apply to your ticket are the ones disclosed to you by your agent at the time of booking, and those govern your specific reservation. If you ever want those rules restated, contact us with your booking confirmation and we will confirm them in writing.
